Research Interests: My interests are in identifying the genetic drivers of trace gas metabolism to explore how microbial life influences the atmosphere. My projects broadly include i.) biosphere-atmosphere interactions at life's origin ii.) the development of functional gene markers for organic trace gas metabolism and iii.) microbial cycling of trace gases metabolites in the high Arctic.
